Adfam is a charity organisation which is helping families that are badly affected by drugs and liquor. We have a desire to provide an opportunity to be a part of an encouraging and loving family, to take advantage of stable relationships and have good physical and mental health to anybody that has been struck by another person's alcohol and drug abuse.
The use of drugs and alcohol can ultimately destroy a family's wellbeing and the relationships within it.
To prevent this from happening, we encourage family members and caretakers, reassure frontline workers and impact those that make decisions.
What We Value
We are glad to hear family members and frontline workers. We understand that people who are facing difficulties often have answers. But it's not only support; this program informs and educates family members over devastating effects and how to take a stand in support of drug and alcohol addiction reduction in homes and workplace. For individuals we assemble skills, assets, confidence and pathways to help them themselves, their companions, customers, and communities.
We Are Inspired By What Works
The substance use impact on wellbeing and family relationships is both varied and profound. We access our work with close attention and care to what works in the real world. We accept evidence regardless of how different it might be, paying equal attention to both practical evidence and official research data in order to do this. We listen to our peers, supporters and friends and we base our work on their advice.
We Take Our Goal Seriously
We are dedicated to providing the work of the best standard as we are serious about our job and partnerships. We are treating people and families influenced by substance abuse with dignity and respect, as we don't agree with the public opinion including stigma and prejudice, as those only cause pain and obstacles on the path of recovery. We desire a stigma-free society towards substance abusers and their close ones, and we won't stop until we accomplish this.
